Classical Yoga

Yoga is a methodology for freeing life energy or prana so that we can live healthier and happier lives.  It is an internal practice that reveals something fresh and new about ourselves.   More than watched or talked about, Yoga is to be experienced thus allowing transformation to begin from within.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is all about finding a sense of deep relaxation through your body and in your mind. It involves a series of gentle poses, which are each held for a number of minutes, and the use of props (think bolsters, cushions, blankets) to fully support your body and enable you to let go in each pose. It's a wonderful antidote to our typically hectic, non-stop, stressful lives, allowing you a chance to connect deeply with your body and the moment, to unwind, to restore and renew.

Pregnancy Yoga

Why do Pregnancy Yoga?

Yoga offers a great starting point to enjoy your pregnancy, boost vitality and relax. It is recommended to expectant mothers by doctors and midwives. Having a consistent yoga practice whilst expecting your child can help improve strength, stamina, mobility and energy levels. It also improves general health and emotional well-being.

It will help you get in shape for the labour and speed up postnatal recovery once your child is born.

It also offers a time of quiet and deep relaxation helping you bond with your baby and relieve any stress, and provides an opportunity to make new friends on this special journey towards motherhood.

When should you start Pregnancy Yoga?

I strongly recommend that you do not start pregancy yoga until after the first 12 weeks of pregancy. During the first 12 week your body and your baby are undergoing rapid changes and some yoga poses and practices are not recommended.

From 12 weeks onwards, once a scan has confirmed that everythiing is proceeding normally, you are welcome to join a class.

What to expect in a Pregnancy Yoga class

Pregnancy classes work on building strength and stamina (internally and physically), improving mobility, boosting vitality and aiding relaxation.
